The Legend of Lee

In the beginning, there was Lee. And Lee looked upon the addy brand palette and said, "You know what this needs? ACID GREEN."

The team looked at Lee. Lee looked at the team. Someone mentioned the word "retina damage." A focus group was hastily assembled. Democracy was invoked.

Lee did not win. :(

But legends never truly die – they just get their own corner of the internet where acid green can live forever, wild and free, like a highlighter that escaped from a 1990s office supply store.

Lee’s Corner

What Is Lee's Corner?

This hallowed digital space is our tribute to the visionary who dared to dream in fluorescent. Here lies the color that never was – a shade so bold, so majestic, so brilliantly ahead of its time that we simply weren't ready for its magnificence.

Lee's Corner is where we honor:

  • The courage to be revolutionary (even when revolution comes in shades that could power small cities)

  • The democracy of design decisions (and why visionaries sometimes need their own corner)

  • The power of persistence (Lee brings up acid green at least once per quarterly meeting)

  • The beauty of hope deferred (you get a whole webpage, Lee. We told you we'd make it right)

The Great Acid Green Debate of 2025
-as told by survivors

1.

It was a Tuesday. The mood in the room was optimistic. We were choosing brand colors – how hard could it be?

2.

Lee arrived with what can only be described as "samples." If samples could cause temporary blindness and make small children cry. The green in question wasn't just green – it was the Hulk after a particularly rage-filled day, mixed with the contents of a highlighter factory explosion.

3.

"But imagine the brand recognition!" Lee argued, squinting through sunglasses at his own color swatches.

4.

A vote was called. Lee voted for acid green. Everyone else voted for their future eyesight. Democracy prevailed, but Lee's passion could not be contained…

The colour that time forgot

RGB Values: Lost to history (and probably for the best)

Pantone Code: Classified as "too pure for this world"

Common Descriptions:

  • "Luminous brilliance"

  • "The future of green"

  • "A shade ahead of its time"

  • "What evolution looks like in color form"

  • "The green that tennis balls aspire to become"

While acid green didn't make it onto our business cards (yet), Lee's Corner ensures that somewhere in the addy universe, his vision lives on. Every pixel here is a testament to the man who looked at a perfectly reasonable colour palette and thought, "You know what? This needs more brilliance."

We may have chosen a more... let's say "conventional" brand palette for now, but Lee's Corner stands as proof that at addy, even our most spectacular visions get their moment in the (acid green) spotlight.

Lee's Legacy

A Final Word

Lee's Corner: Because sometimes the most brilliant ideas are simply ahead of their time. And because Lee specifically requested "a monument to visionary colour theory" in the company Slack.

We salute you, Lee. Your acid green dream lives on in this forgotten corner of the internet.

This corner celebrates colours that dared to dream. addy is not responsible for any sudden urges to redecorate in fluorescent shades after visiting Lee's Corner.
